• Because my husband, John, is still not doing well, I don't work full time, but my long time friend, Lee Greenwood, invited me to join him on a few shows. Janet and Shirley, I hope to see you on the road. Jim, I will see you in Myrtle Beach!
Q: I was wondering if you will have a meet and greet for your Christmas show this year? - L. Mason
• L. Mason, I always stay and visit at my Christmas Shows. It's important to spend time with the people you care about during the holidays.
Q: With the Christmas shows, how do you get motivated to do so many shows in a short period of time? - Rhonda
• Rhonda, I love doing the shows at Gaylord Opryland. I would do them all year, but after December 25th, Christmas shows are not very popular.
Q: We went to Fontanel the beginning of July. Do you have any Fontanel stories you can share? - Lucy M.
• I'm so glad you had a chance to visit the Fontanel. Lucy, I can't sit down to a Mandrell family dinner without thinking about the many meals the family shared in the dining room. We always convinced Barbara that she should host the family gatherings because the entire family could sit together at her table. She never caught on to us tricking her into doing most of the cooking. YUM YUM!
Q: How would you describe your parenting style? How would it compare to the way you were brought up by your parents? - Kim
• Kim, my mom has always believed just like the Chinese, don't cause anyone to lose face. Kim, that means nothing good ever comes from embarrassing someone. We were never punished in public. In raising my daughter, Nicole, I never forgot what my Mom taught me.
Q: What did you get for your birthday? - Amy
• Amy, I have great friends who surprised me with a donation to the Morgellons foundation in my name. It was a very thoughtful gift and I want to thank Kathy F, Mary Jo G, Judy V, Jeanette S, Tracy D, Pam P, Sherri W, Ricky P, David D, Jane G, Lisbeth E, Ryan D, Dave G, Emma S, Mary, & Shelby for their generosity.
Q: Do you enjoy Birthdays or would you rather skip them? - Mike
• Mike, Unlike Barbara and Irlene, who can't count, I love to celebrate anyones birthday, especially if it falls in July!

Q: How is Sally? I love her pictures! - Paula
• Paula, Pedro Tomas' Mom, Yolanda, just made Sally the most beautiful dress she has ever had. I will have Kelly Shipley take a picture of her so you can see it soon!
Q: What did you do for fun this summer? - Claire
• Claire, I have a good time every day. But my best day was spent by the pool with my friends and assistants we refer to as The Kellys: Kelly Shipley, Kelly Lapelle and Kelly Jackson.
Q: Do you still spend a lot of time with your Mom? - Liz
• Thanks Liz, only when I want to have fun!
