Ask Lou: July 2010
Q: What has happened to Pedro Tomas that you danced with at your theatre in PF? - Katharine
• Katharine, Pedro has joined an entertainment company called WonderWorks where he produces the Hoot N' Holler Dinner show as well as performs in it. He has also finished his Theatre Degree at the University of TN and is now attending Graduate School at UT to finish his masters in Spanish Literature. Pedro is still teaching his performing class called Backbeat at Walters State Community College in Sevierville and of course directing and choreographing my Christmas show at Gaylord Opryland.
Q: Louise, do you have a favorite artist or cd that you listen to the most? What's on your playlist? - Janeen
• Janeen, When listening to gospel I always listen to my niece, Christy Sutherland, and Triumphant Quartet. When I listen to country I enjoy a variety of artists, but I always include Reba and when I'm listening to pop, it's Mariah Carey.
Q: Do you like to cook, and if so what is your favorite dish to make? - Chanin
• Chanin, I like making people happy so I enjoy preparing whatever they want. But when it is time for me to eat I enjoy anything made by my nephew, Chef Matt Dudney, friend Kelly Shipley, or Martha Kitchen, who is moms next door neighbor.
Q: Will you be with Triumphant Quartet anytime in 2010? - Bill K.
• Bill, thanks for asking. I love Triumphant Quartet and really enjoyed singing with them, but I don't have any scheduled performances. Of course, you never know when I might surprise everyone.
Q: You have done some acting in the past, have you given any thought to doing anymore in the future? - Pam
• Thanks Pam, I had a great time with the little bit of acting that I have done, but the only scheduled piece coming up is in the Christmas show when Lou the Mailman takes over the stage.
Q: Do you think the music/tv industry is different now then when you were doing the tv show? - Kim W.
• I think any industry that doesn't change with the times will fail. Kim, I have enjoyed many of the changes in the music industry. I know there aren't any variety shows on anymore, but I enjoy American Idol, America's Got Talent, and especially Dancing with the Stars.
Q: What is the status for your Christmas show this year. Is it still on?
• So happy to say Mike that Gaylord Opryland will be open for Country Christmas. Our new show for them is "The Gift". I hope you have a chance to join us!

Q: What is your favorite part of the Christmas show and will our favorite mail lady be back? J. V.
• My favorite show to perform is always Christmas! My favorite part of the Christmas show is showing off my niece and nephew, Matt & Christy. However, Lou the Mailman is always a big hit and I enjoyed sharing the stage with her. She is such a show off!
Q: Do you get time out of your busy schedule to enjoy some of the Christmas events in Nashville? If so, what is the one thing you don't want to miss? Kathy F.
• Kathy and friends, don't miss my sister, Irlene, at the Nashville Palace on Fridays and Saturdays during the Christmas season. I promise you will have a great time!
Q: Do you plan on releasing a live recording of the show or possibly a DVD? - Dustin S.
• Dustin, your question has made me consider a new Christmas CD. I called my record label and will let you know more next month!
