Q: What don't we know about you and your family?
• This is such a good question that it is going to be the only question I'm going to answer this month.

MARY ELLEN MANDRELL
• Mary, my mom, is known as an animal lover in her community. She takes good care of all the critters in the neighborhood. She's put in a hidden camera so we could see a few of them! (You can view photos of the animals at Marys in the photo gallery.)
BARBARA ANN MANDRELL
• My oldest sister sends thank you notes for everything, even to her family! Her house is always clean, and most people would say spotless. She calls me sissy and I call her sis. The biggest secret I can share about sis is her behavior at the movies! Everyone loves the movies, but Barbara loves the food!! Daddy use to say, "Never let her buy the movie tickets if it means it's your turn to pay for concessions". Her food lasts the entire movie. It's nothing for her to eat popcorn, two large candies, nachos, hot dog, and a coke! Everyone wants to sit next to her, especially if they're hungry! I never watch scary movies, but Barbara can watch anything. My big sister is so brave!
KEN DUDNEY
• Ken, Barbara's first and only husband, can build anything. What he thinks of as a hobby is a blessing for the rest of us. I have some beautiful gifts Ken has made for me.
KENNETH MATTHEW DUDNEY/CHRISTY SUTHERLAND DUDNEY
• Matt is the oldest son of Barbara & Ken, and the son I never had. He has his fathers sense of humor and always tries out his jokes for stage or church on me! He lives across from my farm so I see him often. God has blessed him with endless talent. He not only manages his wife, Christy Sutherland, and is known as a talented chef, but he is extremely gifted at making jewelry. Matt made their wedding rings. I really don't think there is anything he can't do. Christy, even though she spends a lot of time working as a successful singer in gospel music, she still finds time to sing in the church choir and she loves it! She is not intimidated by her chef husband - she always enters a pie in our county fair. Be sure and check out Christy's website (www.ChristySutherland.net). JAIME NICOLE DUDNEY
• Barbara's only daughter, Jaime, is a great speaker. I'm sure the guests at The Fontanel will soon discover that she is a very entertaining story teller! She did a great job speaking at her charity event for S.E.E.K., benefiting the kids of Kenya. It was a huge success!
NATHAN MANDRELL DUDNEY/HANNAH DUDNEY
• Barbara's baby Nathan is married to Hannah, who is in Memphis going to medical school while he is in Nashville working and missing his sweety. Nathan, like his big brother Matt, loves the shooting sports and is a great shot! Hannah and Nathan both shoot in a lot of hand gun shoots.
IRLENE MANDRELL
• Soon to be Mrs. Bruce Gibson. Bruce will be a wonderful addition to our family. He has been raising boys, but the house is about to be invaded by girls! I've never seen Irlene so happy and she should be, because Bruce is spoiling my little sister.

DERIC MANDRELL BOYER
• Deric runs his own business, Red-F, and he loves his work! He's proud that he wears his grandfathers old watch and he says that every time he looks at it he relives old memories he shared with his grandfather, Irby.
VANESSA MANDRELL BOYER
• Vanessa is extremely versatile. She loves photography, music, and is an extremely gifted dancer. If you get a chance to visit the Portland Ballroom, be sure and tell her that her Aunt Louise sent you! I don't know how Vanessa finds the time, but she has been taking some beautiful engagement pictures of her mom & Bruce. Irlene doesn't know how she'd get it all done without Vanessa's help.
CHRISTINA MANDRELL
• I don't think I've seen Christina happier. She's really excited about having a new family, new home, and new school. It was hard to leave old friends, but her new friends are making her feel welcome.
JOHN MARSH HAYWOOD
• My sweety had a birthday September 7th. He had lost his phone so we replaced it with a new one and installed all his phone numbers and favorite songs! We replaced some pictures of his dog, Emily, along with Nicole and I. Most of you know John is very sick, but I want you to know John is a good, patient, and perfect husband!
NICOLE MANDRELL SHIPLEY
• My baby girl is going to change her name in September 2011. She announced her engagement to Kyle Bagwell at a family party September 5th. There was a big lunch after church with a beautiful cake. They are planning a big wedding, but they like everything very casual. Nicole is an only child. Whatever she wants, she gets. Nicole & Kyle have a lot in common, especially their love for wrestling. They attend as many events as they can. They even got me a John Cena t-shirt!
WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME
• Louise Mandrell is an open book! I have been in the studio this month finishing up a Christmas project with my producer, James Stroud. I can't wait to share it with you! It will be ready for the holidays. Next month I will have more details, but I hope you enjoy some of the pictures Kelly took while I was recording!
SALLY SUE
• Sally was very upset recently when mama Lou flew to Louisiana to work with Lee Greenwood. Mama had a great time performing and spending time with old friends, but Sally was not quite as happy. There's an old joke, Put your spouse and your dog in the trunk and leave them for an hour, when you open the trunk, who's happy to see you?? When I got home I was lucky both dog & spouse were happy to see me!
